Yumm Cookie Dough 🍪

Heya!

I know that you’re not mean to eat cookie dough but this is an eggless recipe so apparently, it’s safe to eat 🤷🏼‍♀️

That works out well for me too because I can’t eat egg! *kinda fake laugh that transitions into weeping*

Yeah, so here we go. It’s a recipe for 2, but can also be for one if you’re having a really bad day!

 

Serves: 2 | Prep time: 5 mins | Cook time: 1 min | Difficulty: ★ (easy)

You shall need:

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter softened
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 5 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips

First, you start by mixing the brown sugar, softened butter, salt and vanilla extract in a bowl until they are well combined. Next, you want to mix in your milk. Slowly add in the flour 1 tablespoon at a time until you get a cookie dough texture. Finally, add in chocolate chips and mix until they are well combined.

and VOILA! You’ve got yourself a little batch of chocolate chip cookie dough. You can also use this dough to make some eggless cookies. Goodbyeeeee!

Simple Quinoa Salad 🍅

Hello! Here’s a quinoa recipe for all who want to eat a healthy and delicious weight loss snack!

Quinoa is an amazing source of protein containing all nine essential amino acids. Quinoa contains almost twice as much fibre as most other grains. Fibre is most widely known to relieve constipation. It also helps to prevent heart disease by reducing high blood pressure and diabetes. Fiber lowers cholesterol and glucose levels, may lower your risk of developing hemorrhoids and may help you to lose weight as it takes a longer time to chew than does other foods because it makes you feel fuller for longer and is less “energy dense” which means it has fewer calories for the same volume of food.

Quinoa contains Iron. Iron helps keep our red blood cells healthy and is the basis of haemoglobin formation. Iron carries oxygen from one cell to another and supplies oxygen to our muscles to aid in their contraction. Iron also increases brain function because the brain takes in about 20% of our blood oxygen. There are many benefits of iron some more of which include neurotransmitter synthesis, regulation of body temperature, aids enzyme activity and energy metabolism.

You will need:

1 cup of quinoa
2 cups of water
2 ripe avocados
1 medium-sized onion
1 medium sized tomato
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 lemon
10-15 jalapeños

Instructions:

  1. Boil the quinoa until it is well cooked and leave it to cool.
  2. Peel and slice the avocado into long, thin slices.
  3. Chop the onions and tomatoes into fine pieces.
  4. Add the olive oil and a drizzle of lemon juice and combine everything in a bowl.

Simple Green Smoothie On The Go 💚

Hey guys, its Anna here with her healthy recipes. I love healthy recipes that still taste great (not like crap aha). This week’s recipe will be a green smoothie.

Green smoothies are jam-packed with vitamins and antioxidants. Spinach has lots of vitamin D which you usually get from the sun, mango and banana clear your digestive system and pineapples support your immune system, bone strength and eye health. This is a simple healthy recipe to boost your regular morning breakfast. This smoothie is also not too bitter but pretty tasty. Let’s get into the recipe. 😉

You will need:

  • 2 cups of spinach
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 cup of mango
  • 1 cup of pineapple
  • 1 banana

​Make sure to use at least 1 frozen fruit to chill your smoothie.

Instructions:

  1. ​Tightly pack 2 cups of leafy greens in a measuring cup and then toss into blender.
  2. Add water and blend together until all leafy chunks are gone.
  3. Add mango, pineapple and bananas and blend again until smooth.
  4. Pour into a mason jar (or a cup of your choice).

Honey Lemon Water 🍋

Our first recipe is honey and lemon water. While this is great for weight loss, the lemon is an exfoliator and will brighten your complexion. Everyone knows that honey has calories, but hey, it’s still healthy! The calories in the honey are good for your daily calorie intake, assuming that you don’t already eat too much! And the best thing is that this recipe only takes about five minutes so is great even when you’re on the go.

What you’ll need:

1 tbsp of Honey
1 tbsp of Lemon
Some Warm Water

Instructions:

1. Add the lemon and honey into a bowl and mix thoroughly.
2. Then slowly pour in your warm water until the mixture has a water-like consistency.
3. Taste your water and decide if you want it to be sweeter *cue the entrance of the honey*.

P.S. I drink this every morning and it’s also perfect to get you energized and wake up your taste buds.
